A friendly welcoming pub which the current landlords Mr & Mrs R Taylor are working hard to turn into a genuine village pub and with some success. Situated on top of Highweek Hill overlooking the market town of Newton Abbot to the south and the vastness of Dartmoor to the north, this fairly modern pub has attracted considerable attention locally because of its helpful staff, well kept ales and a good menu.

Luckily had a second chance to visit The Highweek 'Village' Inn as its sometimes styled, on the 14/6/2011. Once again found the Ale to be in perfect condition with the temperature smack on 13 degrees....three pumps, though only two on.

Visited these local village pub on the 13/6/2011. It only had two Real Ales on, though the third pump is usually in action. Both the Ales tried were in excellent condition with the temperature spot on. Although a little off the beaten track for 'out-of town drinkers' its worth a visit.
