This large Wetherspoons pub in the town centre provides a fairly typical Wetherspoons experience. Service is often slow, it looks a bit tired round the edges and there is a mixed client group. But as with pretty much all Wetherspoons pub you can always buy the real ale with confidence; they do know how to serve good beer. This was a beer produced by blending Kings Old Ale and their Bitter, hence the name. It certainly worked well as it was a very good pint. I ordered a cheese baguette to keep my pint company and it was awful. Thin plastic cheese served on a thin baguette with very thin pickle from a portion pack. Disgusting. Stick to the beer and you won't be disappointed,
