This top real ale pub has been run for many years by father and son.They always have a bar full of cask beers with most of them being local brews.The standard of real ale keeping could not be bettered,and the choice of beers first class.This is not a pub to just go for a pint,it is a pub you will want to stay a while and enjoy the good company and a few pints.

Its been over a year since i was last in the village and nothing seems to change i am glad to say.The pub had a bar full of local guest beers which made you spoilt for choice,i chose the Yates and it was the best cask beer i have had in years.There is a beer festival in the local area shortly were all the local pubs join in (about seven) and transport is provided to take you round all the pubs over the weekend, i shall be here.

Another great cask beer pub to visit in the lakes.You are always spoilt for choice here as there are so many changes during the week.All beers are in top condition and reasonably priced.
