Visits for Old Tannery

Add a visit

Added by Max Tammbeck - 2014

This pub is now trading as 'The Tannery', although some of the signage says 'The Skinners Arms'. The Tannery is under new management, and has become a first class real ale pub since reopening in March 2014. The new manager also runs the Brandling Villa in South Gosforth. The main bar has six handpulls, one of which serves Tyne Bank Frank and Bird Motueka Blonde. There are usually one or two more ales from the North-East, including one from Allendale Brewery. The other beers on offer are from Britain's best micro-breweries. The lounge is now dedicated to real cider, with five handpulls at the time of writing. The Tannery also offers a wide range of whiskies and gins.
