The Queens Head is a somewhat traditional pub just off the Kings Road in Chelsea which still features prominently on the Gay scene and was once regularly frequented by a certain Stephen Fry. Although billed as the friendliest pub in Chelsea, it certainly isn't the best. A rather depressing decor is matched by dull food and indifferent beer. It can only get better one hopes.

I trolled into this pub on Wednesday 22/6/2011 as much to get out of the rain as in anticipation of ale orientated delights. My gloomy forecast was sadly proved right. Both real ales were above a good cellar temperature and in somewhat indifferent condition. I try to like the Queens Head, but I once again fail to find anything to make another visit an exciting prospect.
