I LOVE THIS PUB! It's an old, traditional, low-ceilinged pub with exposed beams. Around the walls is an interesting collection of old, unopened beer bottles - a special Silver Jubilee ale from 1977 was by no means the oldest. In the window is a collection of old telephones. Over the bar is a collection of earthenware jugs. On the walls are various sporting photos. The pub is quirky and individual, as far from soulless, corporate-identity pubco pubs as you can get. Three regular beers - I had the Tring Ridgeway. It was perfect - cool but not cold. Usually a guest beer - there are four pumps - but none when I visited. The other customers were mainly old codgers who knew each other and the barmaid by first name. Prices very reasonable - pint of Ridgeway £2.35, Food on the menu typically £5.45. Highly reccomended.
