The pub is situated centrally in this small, quiet village, about 4 miles to the east of Durham City. It re-opened after extensive refurbishment and is under new management since June 2014. The stone tiled bar leads through to a carperted lounge and restaurant serving excellent traditional meals and a daily selection of Chef Specials for the Foodie. For the warmer months there is a Patio with new tables and benches. Sunday is quiz night.
