Opening times Mon - Sat 12pm - 3pm, 6pm - 11pm Sun 12pm - 3pm, 7pm - 10.30pm A absolute gem of a local, hidden away in this small village. Excellent home cooked food is available at lunchtime and evenings. The pub uses over-sized lined pint glasses. There is a large beer garden to the rear and overnight accomodation is always available. No permanant beers as the beer list is ever changing giving good varied choice.

Visited this pub today for a CAMRA organised outing. Peter the Landlord is a very welcoming host. I tried five pints of the seven cask ales on offer, all well kept, the Rooster Yankee being my favourite. Had the Jumbo beer battered Cod and chips, unbelievably tasty and filling, well presented and good value for money. Well worth hunting out this 'off the beaten' track pub.
