This is a one roomed backstreet pub that has an open fire. There are 7 real ales on offer with one of them a mild, porter or stout. They are passionate about beer quality and there is no TV, Duke box, games machine or any other annoyance.

This is a really nice and friendly pub and definitely worth the short walk out of town. From the outside, it doesn't look much and I expected it to be very quet for a Sunday afternoon but there quite a few people in the Cross. An excellent beer selection was available for such a pub.
