Visits for The Bleachworks

I went into The Bleachworks for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Set on an industrial estate it is very tastefully decorated and has a very pleasant atmosphere. However there is a distinct lack of seating and as the bar filled up it became quite congested. The clientele are not what you would expect from real ale enthusiasts, being full of more upmarket people quaffing champagne than real ale drinkers. The toilet facilities are totally inadequate for the amount of customers in the bar, having one cubicle and 2 urinals for approximately 150 men. Of course when the drinks are flowing it's not long before you're in a queue of 10 or more for the toilet. I tried The Wicketkeeper, one of the beers brewed onsite which was a pleasant 4% brew, well kept and very fresh and reasonably priced at £2.40 a pint. Overall this is a very nice place, with a good choice of beers and spirits let down by very slow service, a complete lack of forethought with the toilets and very cramped conditions with very little seating options
