Built in 1784 as three cottages to house the navvies who built the Thames and Severn Canal, it became The Bricklayers Arms in 1807. In 1955 it became The Daneway Inn.
The present landlords, Elizabeth and Richard Goodfellow are the longest serving landlords in the district, having been there for over 23 years! The pub serves traditional pub food and excellent Wadworth ales, with regularly changing guests.
Opening hours: Mondays 11.00am - 2.30pm (closed Monday nights). Tuesday - Friday 11.00am - 2.30pm, 6.30 - 11.00pm. Saturday & Sunday 11.00am - 11.00pm in summer. Food served 12 noon - 2.00pm and 7.00pm - 9.00pm.
