"Never judge a book by its cover" is a saying that could have been written for this street corner oasis. When you first walk through the door you may notice its slightly uncempt appearence, the tatty furniture and threadbare carpet. But the beer's the thing here. Specialising in Kent breweries, German and Belgian beers, you'll find some of the best beer in Rochester. There's also Kent cider and even Kent wines and regular live music if the choice of nearly 40 beers (either bottle, tap or pump) is not enough entertainment. Leave your snobbishness at the door and enjoy yourself!
