The Pelican Inn is a no-nonsense real-ale pub located between Gloucester Cathedral and Kingsholm Rugby stadium. The pub's history can be traced back to 1679, and is one of Gloucester's oldest pubs. Owned by Wye Valley Brewery and run by Mike Hall since 2012. The Pelican is the winner of CAMRA's Gloucester City Pub of the Year 2014, Cask Marque accredited, Good Beer Guide 2014 & 2015. Believe in Gloucester awards runner-up 2014. The Pelican serves Wye Valley Brewery's full portfolio of beers together with guest ales from other local breweries. This means 6 or 7 real ales and four real ciders and perries are always available. No Lager. Regular beer festivals hosted by the pub in February and June.
