One of the oldest pubs in the country! A beautiful gem hidden away in the heart of Chesterfield's Shambles area. Dating back to the 12th Century and once a reting place for the Knights Templar. You have to go in to see it for yourself ! 8 real ales of excellent quality and choice. Kept in superb condition nd served by excellent staff who excel in service standards. The food is superb too. Served daily at lunch time, including a fantastic Sunday roast. This ale house was once two butchers shops. History oozes out of every part of this wonderful pub.
