NATIONAL GRAND FINAL WINNER MARSTON'S PUB OF THE YEAR 2013 A traditional village pub in the picturesque village of Dobcross located in the foothills of the Pennines. Dating from 1765, The Swan is steeped in history and is the focal point for the community as well as being popular with visitors, ramblers, cyclists and dog walkers. Function room available for plays, parties, poetry, music... Serving real ale (Marston's, Brakspeare, Jennings, Banks's) and good quality homemade food. Regular big events to enjoy at The Swan every year: the Whit Friday Band Contest, Saddleworth Rushcart Festival (Morris Dancing) and Yanks (40s event remembering the filming of the movie Yanks with Richard Gere in 1978).
