A pub on higher road which has cask beers and food sales when it is open which is only after five in the evening in this village which seems to be closed down during the day.

I had arranged to meet a friend in Longridge a village i had only visited once before when iwas in the pub trade and had played bowls at a whitbread pub called The Black Dog.We walked up and down the streets to find every pub shut with the exception of the Townley were we spent the afternoon and had a couple of pints.after five o clock we went to the White Bull as i knew that they had Spitfire a cask that i like.The beer was ok but the best thing about Longridge if you are a cask beer drinker is the great regular bus service which gets you out of the village.
