Opening times Mon - Sat 11.45 - 3 pm then 6pm till 11pm, Sun 12 -3pm then 7pm till 10.30pm.
Always 5 well-kept handpulled ales available, often from local breweries such as Durham (Bowburn), Wylam (Heddon), Mordue (Shiremoor), and Big Lamp (Newburn).
Durham CAMRA's pub of the year numerous times, has three separate rooms including a cosy snug, all with open fires. Large collection of Irish whiskeys on offer. Good accomodation is also available.
