The Wyre Lounge bar is inside the Marine Hall and is owned by the local council.The bar was once the top venue for real ale drinkers and won awards for its beers.The bar won camaras pub of the year twice.The council decided to put the bar out to tender and the bar changed hands five times in less than ten years with each firm having different ideas but none that ever worked.The bar returnerd to council ownership in 2001 but by then its days were over.The bar now opens FRI SAT SUN,AND if there is a booking, a great way to keep cask beer!!The hall is home to the local beer festival which is run in February.
