ClearRead is a Safari extension that helps make web pages easier to read by hiding distracting elements such as banners, popups, floating panels, and autoplay media.

ClearRead does not collect, sell, share, or transmit personal information to us.

ClearRead does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email address, and does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies.

## Browsing Data

ClearRead processes web page content locally in Safari so it can apply reading and cleanup rules. Your browsing history, page content, and visited websites are not sent to us.

Some app settings may be stored locally on your device, including:

- Whether ClearRead is enabled
- Selected cleanup mode
- Enabled or disabled cleanup rules
- Websites where you choose to turn ClearRead off
- Local usage counters, such as pages cleaned or overlays hidden
- Local reports you manually create inside the extension

These items are stored on your device for app functionality and are not transmitted to our servers.

## Third-Party Services

ClearRead does not include third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking services.

## Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties.

## Data Retention and Deletion

ClearRead stores its settings and local reports on your device. You can remove this local data by deleting the app from your device. If the app later adds more data controls, this policy will be updated.

ClearRead is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because ClearRead does not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect data from children.
