Balché is a traditional Maya alcoholic drink made from the bark of the balché tree (Lonchocarpus violaceus) fermented with honey and water — it was consumed in religious ceremonies. Timewave Zero is Terence McKenna's speculative theory mapping novelty across time, often associated with the Maya calendar. Jonathan Solter is an artist whose work "I've Been There" provides the primary visual reference. ## Visual Elements Mayan stela as a Mibera, holding a cup of balché. Timewave Zero graph rendered as a crack in the stela. Main visuals pulled from Jonathan Solter's "I've Been There." ## Justification Ancestors are a load-bearing trait in the Mibera system — each of the 10,000 Miberas inherits an ancestor as their cultural lineage. The ancestor grails represent each lineage as its own identity.
