*Hel as Pluto with key and sigil, evoking isolation*

## Cultural Context

Hel is the Norse goddess of the dead, ruler of the realm also called Hel (Helheim), where those who did not die in battle were received. She is the daughter of Loki and the giantess Angrboða. Hel corresponds to Hades/Pluto as ruler of the underworld. In some sources she is described as half-living, half-dead. The key is a symbol of Pluto/Hades as keeper of the underworld — the dead do not leave.

## Visual Elements

Hel depicted as Pluto. Holding a key and the Pluto sigil. Blues and charcoals to evoke ash and deep space. Simple background with a single light reflected in Hel's eye to evoke isolation.

## Justification

The planet and luminary grails represent the celestial bodies as their own identities — the sources of the energy that the zodiac system channels.
