# CPAP

## Visual Elements

Head of the CPAP machine with a grey thick tube that goes back.

## Cultural Context

A CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machine is a medical device used to treat sleep apnea by delivering a steady stream of air through a mask worn over the nose or mouth, keeping airways open during sleep to prevent breathing pauses and improve oxygen flow.

<!-- justification
## Justification

Part of the collection's commitment to disability representation — a CPAP machine as headwear because the rave does not stop for sleep apnea.
