# meta eyes

## Visual Elements

"eyes" written in sloppy black text instead of actual eyes

## Cultural Context

Meta eyes replace the drawn eye with the word "eyes" written in sloppy black text, breaking the fourth wall of visual representation. This self-referential technique draws from conceptual art traditions — particularly Magritte's "The Treachery of Images" and the text-as-image experiments of artists like Ed Ruscha and Jenny Holzer. In the context of generative PFP art, meta traits comment on the nature of digital identity itself.

<!-- justification
## Justification

The ultimate self-referential trait — meta eyes ask what it means to have eyes when you are a picture, collapsing representation into pure concept.
