# sad

## Visual Elements

a sad portrayed by a short thin line with a pronounced downward curve at one corner.

## Cultural Context

A sad mouth curves downward at one corner, the minimal representation of unhappiness or dejection. The asymmetric droop distinguishes sadness from the neutral line mouth, adding just enough expressiveness to convey emotional weight. In the collection's minimal art style, this single curved line carries the full burden of melancholy.

<!-- justification
## Justification

Not every moment is euphoria — sadness gives the collection emotional depth and acknowledges the full range of the human experience.
