# tongue

## Visual Elements

a small tongue, out of an open mouth.

## Cultural Context

A visible tongue protruding from an open mouth signals playfulness, cheekiness, or physical release. The tongue-out expression has deep roots in character art and pop culture, from the Rolling Stones logo to emoji. It occupies a space between the deliberate provocation of blehhh and the substance-laden acid tongue — tongue for its own sake.

<!-- justification
## Justification

Pure playful energy without the substance references — tongue is the lighthearted, cheeky cousin in the mouth family.
