# Future Rug Core

## Visual Elements

Black t-shirt with red text that says “THE FUTURE IS RUGCORE” in thin font.

## Cultural Context

Rugcore is a tongue-in-cheek aesthetic movement within crypto culture that embraces the chaotic, scam-adjacent energy of memecoin trading. The term rug refers to a rug pull, where a token creator drains liquidity and disappears with investor funds.

<!-- justification
## Justification

Declaring the future is rugcore is crypto culture laughing at itself. In a collection that documents the full spectrum of web3 culture, the scam aesthetic gets a shirt too.
