# Rug Core

## Visual Elements

Black t-shirt with text in red in the middle that says “rug core” in a playful font.

## Cultural Context

Rugcore is a self-aware aesthetic movement within crypto culture that embraces the chaotic energy of memecoin trading and rug pulls. The term rug pull refers to a crypto scam where developers drain a token's liquidity and disappear. Rugcore turns the trauma into an identity.

<!-- justification
## Justification

Rugcore is crypto culture processing its own scam epidemic through fashion. When getting rugged is so common it becomes an aesthetic, you know the culture has reached a certain maturity.
