# Shameless Misandrist

## Visual Elements

Pink t-shirt with blood-red writing that reads “SHAMELESS MISANDRIST” inside of a heart outline with a cross on top.

## Cultural Context

The piece was made by Ollie Henderson mentioned in an article he wrote himself about it called heapsgay.com. The article argues that misandry (hatred of men) and misogyny (hatred of women) are not equivalents due to systemic power imbalances: misogyny reinforces women's oppression, while misandry is a powerless, reactive pushback lacking institutional harm.

<!-- justification
## Justification

This is a real piece by Ollie Henderson, sourced from heapsgay.com. The collection documents real activist fashion from real scenes, and this shirt represents the feminist strain of the Australian queer rave community.
