# Bearmo

## Visual Elements

Red bear with brown hair and bangs, holding a white item that looks like a rollie. A plushie based on [this Bong Bear](https://opensea.io/item/ethereum/0x495f947276749ce646f68ac8c248420045cb7b5e/66075445032688988859229341194671037535804503065310441849644897974290569232385).

## Cultural Context

Bearmo is a named character from the Bong Bears collection, a bear-pun riff on Elmo, the beloved red Muppet from Sesame Street known for his high-pitched voice and childlike curiosity. Bong Bears is one of the foundational NFT collections in the Berachain ecosystem, and its named characters like Bearmo represent unique one-of-a-kind pieces within the broader roster. The playful portmanteau of "bear" and "Elmo" is characteristic of the collection's approach to pop-culture remixing through a cannabis-bear lens.

<!-- justification
## Justification

Bearmo's red fur and bangs make the Elmo connection unmistakable, and as a named Bong Bear it carries extra weight as a recognizable character crossover in the held-item slot.
