# Bong Bear 65

## Visual Elements

White bear wearing a big cap and an unbuttoned shirt, holding a pizza. The cap is in red to yellow gradient. The shirt is in red, orange, yellow, green, and red again (from top to bottom), with a light pattern of marijuana leaves. The bear is also wearing glasses with a gold frame and bee-shaped sculpture in the middle of it and a golden neck chain with a sign-peace symbol as a charm. The bear is holding a cheesy pizza. A plushie based on [this Bong Bear](https://opensea.io/assets/ethereum/0x495f947276749ce646f68ac8c248420045cb7b5e/66075445032688988859229341194671037535804503065310441849644897932509127376897).

## Cultural Context

Bong Bears is one of the earliest and most recognized NFT collections in the Berachain ecosystem, created as bear-themed characters on Ethereum's OpenSea platform before Berachain launched its own chain. The collection features a roster of stylized, cannabis-culture-inspired bears each with unique outfits, accessories, and color schemes. Bong Bears helped establish the bear identity that became central to Berachain's community branding, making them a foundational piece of the ecosystem's cultural history.

## Justification

As one of the OG Berachain ecosystem collections, Bong Bears appearing as held-item plushies in Mibera is a direct nod to the shared bear lineage that ties these communities together.
