# fishing rod

## Visual Elements

a fishing rod with yellow strings and brown handle.

## Cultural Context

Free party sound systems like Spiral Tribe lived a nomadic lifestyle, often camping in rural areas between events. Fishing, foraging, and other low-cost outdoor activities filled the gaps between raves. The fishing rod represents this side of freetekno life: not the party itself, but the DIY self-sufficiency of the traveling community.

<!-- justification
## Justification

The oddball that proves the freetekno archetype is a lifestyle, not just a party. Sound system crews lived between raves, and this is what they did in between.
