## Visual Elements

a raw chunk of bee hive.

## Cultural Context

Mad honey is produced by bees that feed on rhododendron nectar in Turkey's Black Sea region and Nepal. It contains grayanotoxin, which in small doses causes a mild intoxication, and has been used as both a weapon and a delicacy since the time of the ancient Greeks.
