# male tears mug

## Visual Elements

a white mug with the text “MALE TEARS” in black on it.

## Cultural Context

The "Male Tears" mug became an iconic accessory of online feminist culture in the 2010s, designed to provoke and amuse in equal measure. Its inclusion places internet-era gender politics alongside the collection's other countercultural artifacts.

<!-- justification
## Justification

Internet-era provocation sitting next to ancient plants and rave gear. The collection doesn't just look backward; it includes the culture wars of the 2010s too.
