# new york rave flyers

## Visual Elements

A thin, neon green booklet that says “NEW YORK RAVE FLYERS 1991-1995” in black text.

## Cultural Context

New York rave flyers document the city's unique electronic music scene, which blended warehouse parties, club culture, and the downtown art world. They capture a time when the city's nightlife was both genuinely dangerous and genuinely transformative.

## Justification

Primary-source artifacts. These flyers are the receipts — physical proof that a scene existed before it was documented, commercialized, or remembered correctly.
