# porridge

## Visual Elements

a full purple bowl of creamy coloured porridge.

## Cultural Context

Porridge has been a dietary staple across cultures for thousands of years, from Scottish oats to Chinese congee to West African millet porridge. As a simple, cheap, and filling food, it is the kind of thing someone eats at 6 AM after a warehouse party. Its inclusion as a held item among drugs and instruments is deliberately mundane — a reminder that the rave experience also includes the ordinary act of feeding yourself.

<!-- justification
## Justification

The deliberately mundane item. Among the drugs and instruments, a bowl of porridge insists that rave culture also includes the ordinary act of feeding yourself at 6 AM.
