CERN Open Hardware Licence Version 2 – Strongly Reciprocal (CERN-OHL-S)

1. Definitions
“Licence” means this CERN Open Hardware Licence.
“Documentation” means any design material such as schematics,
drawings, PCB layouts, CAD files, bills of materials, and other
information that enables the manufacture or modification of hardware.
“Product” means any device or physical object made using the
Documentation.
“Source” means the preferred form of the Documentation for making
modifications.

2. Grant of Rights
The Licensor hereby grants You a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive
licence to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and make Products from
the Documentation, subject to the terms of this Licence.

3. Source Availability
You must make available the complete Source of the Documentation for
any Product You distribute or make available, under the terms of this
Licence.

4. Reciprocity
If You modify the Documentation or make Products based on it, You must
license the modified Documentation under CERN-OHL-S v2 and make the
Source available.

5. Notices
You must retain all copyright notices, licence notices, and attribution
statements in the Documentation and Products.

6. Warranty Disclaimer
The Documentation and any Products are provided “AS IS” without
warranty of any kind, express or implied.

7. Limitation of Liability
The Licensor shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of

8. Termination
This Licence terminates automatically if You fail to comply with its
