To enable you to find your place again, enter a marker (such as '###') in the segment, then hit <i0>Enter</i0> (to confirm the the change to the segment) before moving to a different part of the project. Better still, add the segment number to the marker, since if your segment is one of several identical segments, you may otherwise find when you try to find your place again that your marker is now found in several segments. Compiling is simply the process whereby OmegaT replaces the segments in the original text with the translations in this file. It also generates a translation memory in its final, reusable form. You needn't wait until the translation is finished to compile; you can compile as many times as you like. Files in these formats can therefore be processed by conversion in OpenOffice.org to the latter's native format, translation in OmegaT, and conversion back again following translation.
