# Melomancy Privacy Policy

## Introduction

Melomancy (the "App") is operated by the Melomancy development team ("we", "us"). We understand the importance of your personal information and treat it with the utmost care. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you can exercise.

By using this App, you agree to the information handling practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using and delete the App.

## Information We Collect

We only collect information necessary to provide product features. We do not collect information unrelated to our services, serve advertisements, or engage in cross-app tracking.

### 1. Account Information

This App uses Sign in with Apple for registration. We receive the user identifier provided by Apple, along with the nickname you set. If no nickname is provided, we only store the anonymous identifier returned by Apple.

### 2. Profile Photos

You can set a profile photo via the system photo picker. The selected image is used solely for avatar display; the selection is handled by a system component. This App does not batch-read your photo library and cannot access photos you have not actively selected.

### 3. Subscription Information

When you purchase a subscription, we receive the subscription product identifier and validity period provided by the App Store in order to grant your subscription benefits. Payment details are processed by Apple; we never see your payment account, credit card, or other billing information.

### 4. Feature Usage Data

To provide and improve the service, we record:

- **Fortune draw history**: your daily fortune draw records (linked to your account, shown in the history page);
- **Favorites**: albums, tracks, and cover songs you have favorited;
- **Cover tasks**: parameters of cover tasks you initiate (source track, style) and the generated results;
- **Play statistics**: play counts per track. These statistics are aggregated at the track level only, are not linked to your account, and cannot be used to identify individuals.

### 5. Logs and Technical Data

Our servers record standard access logs (such as timestamps and request paths) for troubleshooting and security auditing.

## How We Use Information

We use the above information to:

1. Create and maintain your account and provide login sessions;
2. Display your history, favorites, and cover creations;
3. Grant and maintain your subscription benefits;
4. Generate fortune verse content and compile track popularity (for recommendation ranking);
5. Maintain service security and stability.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

## Third-Party Services

This App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

- **Apple**: provides Sign in with Apple and App Store in-app purchases (including subscription payments);
- **Large language model services**: used to generate fortune verse text. We only submit generation inputs such as fortune tier, album name, and target language — never your account identifier or personal identity information;
- **Cloud computing services**: used to host the servers powering this App.

## Information Storage and Security

- Your information is stored on our servers; communication between the client and servers is encrypted in transit;
- Login credentials (JWT) are protected by a signing mechanism, and access tokens have limited validity;
- Access to data is granted only to necessary personnel, with reasonable access controls in place.

## Information Retention and Deletion

- **Account data**: you can delete your account at any time in the App via "Me → Settings → Delete Account". After deletion, your account information, fortune draw history, favorites, and cover task records will be deleted or anonymized, and this cannot be undone;
- **Audio files**: previously generated cover audio may remain on the servers as part of the music library. It contains no personal identity information and is no longer associated with your account;
- **Logs**: standard logs are retained for no more than 90 days.

## Minors

This App is not directed at children under the age of 14. If you are a minor, please use this App under the guidance of a parent or guardian. If we discover that we have collected a child's personal information without guardian consent, we will delete it as soon as possible.

## Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information:

- **Nickname and avatar**: can be modified at any time in "Me → Edit Profile";
- **Favorites and fortune draw history**: can be deleted directly on the corresponding pages;
- **Account and all associated data**: can be deleted in one tap via "Settings → Delete Account", or by contacting us using the contact information below.

## Policy Updates

We may revise this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
