## Overview

GoBirdie is a privacy-first golf tracking application. We do not collect, store, or share any of your personal data. All your golf data remains entirely on your device.

## What GoBirdie Does NOT Do

- ❌ **No Data Collection**: We do not collect any personal information
- ❌ **No Cloud Storage**: Your golf data is never sent to our servers
- ❌ **No Analytics**: We do not track how you use the app
- ❌ **No Advertising**: We do not show ads or share data with advertisers
- ❌ **No Third-Party Sharing**: Your data is never shared with any third parties

## Data Storage

**All your golf data is stored locally on your device**, including:
- Golf round scores and statistics
- Shot locations and club selections
- Course information and maps
- Personal preferences and settings

### Optional Local Sync
- **Apple Watch**: Round data syncs locally between your iPhone and Apple Watch via WatchConnectivity (no cloud)
- **Desktop App**: You can optionally sync rounds to GoBirdie Desktop via local WiFi network (no cloud servers)
- **iCloud**: You can enable iCloud backup in iOS Settings, but this is optional and controlled by you

## Permissions We Request

### Location Services
- Used only during golf rounds to track your shot locations
- GPS data is stored locally on your device
- You can disable location access anytime in iOS Settings

### HealthKit (Optional)
- Only used if you choose to enable it
- Heart rate or fitness data is stored only on your device
- You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings

## Third-Party Services

### OpenStreetMap
- Used for course mapping and course discovery

### Apple Services
- Location Services, HealthKit, and WatchConnectivity frameworks (privacy handled by Apple)

## Your Data Ownership

**You own all your golf data.** You have complete control:
- Export or delete rounds anytime
- Disable location access anytime
- Revoke HealthKit permissions anytime
- Manage iCloud sync in iOS Settings

## No Tracking or Analytics

GoBirdie does not:
- Track app usage
- Send crash reports to external servers
- Collect device identifiers
- Monitor user behavior
