Grease (optional) a 9x5 loaf pan. ### Step 2 In a large bowl, whisk together whole wheat pastry flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. ### Step 3 In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, egg, buttermilk, orange zest, and orange juice. ### Step 4 Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until just combined. ### Step 5 Gently fold in cranberries (and chopped and roasted almonds, if using). ### Step 6 Bake and check at 35 minutes.
