--- comments: true tags: - dessert - custard --- # :custard: Classic Crème Brûlée ![Classic Crème Brûlée](../assets/images/classic-crème-brûlée.jpg){ loading=lazy } | :fork_and_knife_with_plate: Serves | :timer_clock: Total Time | |:----------------------------------:|:-----------------------: | | 2 | 1.33 hours | ## :salt: Ingredients - :icecream: 0.75 cup heavy cream - :icecream: 0.25 tsp vanilla - :egg: 2 egg yolks - :candy: 1 Tbsp white sugar - :candy: 1 Tbsp raw cane sugar ## :cooking: Cookware - 1 bowl - 1 crème brûlée molds ## :pencil: Instructions ### Step 1 Preheat the oven to 200°F. ### Step 2 Bring the heavy cream and vanilla to a simmer on the stovetop. ### Step 3 In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the white sugar until pale in color (about 1 minute). ### Step 4 Slowly pour the hot cream over the egg mixture while continuously stirring. ### Step 5 Pour the custard into crème brûlée molds and bake for 50 minutes, until the egg mixture is no longer liquid. ### Step 6 Cool the crème brûlée down in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. ### Step 7 Pour the raw cane sugar over the custard and caramelize with a torch. ### Step 8 Serve immediately. ## :link: Source -
