--- comments: true tags: - dessert --- # :coconut: Coconut Macaroons ![Coconut Macaroons][1]{ loading=lazy } | :fork_and_knife_with_plate: Serves | :timer_clock: Total Time | |:----------------------------------:|:-----------------------: | | 24 | 25 minutes | ## :salt: Ingredients - :glass_of_milk: 1 14-oz can [sweetened condensed milk][2] - :coconut: 1 14-oz bag [sweetened coconut][3] - :icecream: 1 tsp vanilla - :egg: 2 egg whites - :salt: 0.5 tsp salt ## :pencil: Instructions ### Step 1 Preheat oven to 325°F. ### Step 2 Combine almost the entire can of [sweetened condensed milk][2] (leave about 2 tablespoons in the can) with [sweetened coconut][3]. Stir to combine. Add in vanilla and stir to combine. Set aside. ### Step 3 Next, in a separate bowl combine egg whites and salt and beat until soft peaks form. ### Step 4 Gently fold egg whites into coconut mixture. ### Step 5 Then scoop or spoon mixture, about two tablespoons, onto baking sheets that are covered with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. ### Step 6 Finally, bake for approximately 25 minutes or until starting to turn golden brown.
