--- comments: true tags: - dessert --- # :strawberry: Fruit Sorbet ![Fruit Sorbet][1]{ loading=lazy } | :timer_clock: Total Time | |:-----------------------: | | 20 minutes | ## :salt: Ingredients - :candy: 300 g confectioners' sugar - :droplet: 300 g water - :herb: some mint - :strawberry: 500 g strawberries - :lemon: 0.5 lime juice - :icecream: 1 tsp vanilla - :egg: 1 egg ## :cooking: Cookware - 1 sauce pan - 1 food processor ## :pencil: Instructions ### Step 1 Make a simple syrup by combining equal amounts of confectioners' sugar and water in sauce pan. Bring the mixture to a boil until the sugar is dissolved. ### Step 2 Pour mixture into a container with a few leaves of mint and let cool. ### Step 3 Add strawberries to a blender with a lime juice of half a lime and blend. ### Step 4 Pour the puree through a strainer to remove the pulp. ### Step 5 Add vanilla to the puree. ### Step 6 Remove the mint leaves from simple syrup. ### Step 7 Add the simple syrup to the puree a little at a time. ### Step 8 Add a clean uncooked egg to the mixture and keep adding the simple syrup until the egg floats and the exposed part of the egg is about the size of a quarter. ### Step 9 Make the sorbet the same way as making ice cream using a food processor. ## :link: Source - [1]: <../assets/images/fruit-sorbet.jpg>
