--- comments: true tags: - pie - dessert --- # :pie: Banoffee Pie ![Banoffee Pie](../../assets/images/banoffee-pie.jpg){ loading=lazy } | :timer_clock: Total Time | |:-----------------------: | | 1 hour 30 minutes | ## :salt: Ingredients - Crust - :cookie: 2.25 cup [graham cracker][1] - :candy: 2 Tbsp granulated sugar - :butter: 0.5 cup melted butter ## :salt: Ingredients - Filling - :butter: 0.5 cup butter - :maple_leaf: 0.5 cup dark brown sugar - :glass_of_milk: 1 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk ## :salt: Ingredients - Topping - :banana: 4 sliced bananas - :glass_of_milk: 2 cups heavy cream - :chocolate_bar: some chocolate shavings ## :cooking: Cookware - 1 springform pan or pie dish - 1 medium sized saucepan ## :pencil: Instructions - Crust ### Step 1 Combine [graham cracker][1] crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter and press in the bottom of a springform pan or pie dish and press it up along the sides. Chill the crust until firm. ## :pencil: Instructions - Filling ### Step 2 To make the filling: Melt butter in a medium sized saucepan. Stir in dark brown sugar and melt over medium low heat. Add the sweetened condensed milk and bring it to a boil for a few minutes stirring continuously. The toffee should start to darken. Pour the filling over the crust.
