--- comments: true tags: - holiday - cookie - dessert --- # :cookie: Persimmon Cookies ![Persimmon Cookies](../assets/images/persimmon-cookies.jpg){ loading=lazy } | :timer_clock: Total Time | |:-----------------------: | | 30 minutes | ## :salt: Ingredients - :cup_with_straw: 1 tsp baking soda - :sponge: 1 cup persimmon pulp - :butter: 0.5 cup butter - :candy: 1 cup sugar - :egg: 1 egg - :ear_of_rice: 2 cups all-purpose flour - :dash: 1 tsp baking powder - :salt: 0.5 tsp salt - :custard: 0.5 tsp cinnamon - :four_leaf_clover: 0.5 tsp cloves - :chestnut: 0.5 tsp nutmeg - :chestnut: 1 cup raisins and/or nuts ## :cooking: Cookware - 1 greased cookie sheet ## :pencil: Instructions ### Step 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. ### Step 2 Stir in baking soda with persimmon pulp that is sieved and put through blender and set aside. ### Step 3 Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in egg, then persimmon mixture. ### Step 4 Sift all-purpose flour with baking powder, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. ### Step 5 Add to creamed mixture along with raisins and/or nuts. Mix thoroughly. ### Step 6 Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. ### Step 7 Bake until done (set when touched in center).
