--- comments: true tags: - ingredient - seasoning --- # :mushroom: Umami Seasoning ![Umami Seasoning][1]{ loading=lazy } | :fork_and_knife_with_plate: Serves | :timer_clock: Total Time | |:----------------------------------:|:-----------------------: | | 16 Tbsp | 5 minutes | ## :salt: Ingredients - :mushroom: 1 oz dried mushrooms - :onion: 0.25 cup granulated onion - :hotdog: 2 Tbsp mustard powder - :salt: 1 Tbsp salt - :hot_pepper: 1 tsp red pepper flakes - :salt: 1 tsp black pepper - :herb: 1 tsp thyme ## :cooking: Cookware - 1 high-powered blender, spice grinder or food processor - 1 bowl ## :pencil: Instructions ### Step 1 Add the dried mushrooms to a high-powered blender, spice grinder or food processor and blend for 5 to 10 seconds, or until it turns into a fine powder. ### Step 2 Add the granulated onion, mustard powder, salt, red pepper flakes, black pepper and thyme to a bowl with the mushroom powder. ### Step 3 Stir to combine all of the ingredients. ### Step 4 Cover and store in an airtight container in the pantry for up to 6 months. ## :link: Source - [1]: <../../assets/images/umami-seasoning.jpg>
