--- comments: true tags: - italian - pasta - jamie-oliver --- # :spaghetti: Trapani-Style Pasta ![Trapani-Style Pasta](../assets/images/trapani-style-pasta.jpg){ loading=lazy } | :timer_clock: Total Time | |:-----------------------: | | 0 minutes | ## :salt: Ingredients - :ear_of_rice: 1 lb pasta - :cheese_wedge: 2 oz Parmesan - :chestnut: 0.75 cup almonds - :garlic: 2 cloves garlic - :hot_pepper: 1 chilies - :tomato: 3 cups cherry tomatoes - :olive: some olive oil - :salt: some salt - :salt: some pepper - :herb: 2 large handfuls basil leaves ## :cooking: Cookware - 1 food processor ## :pencil: Instructions ### Step 1 Cook pasta as desired. ### Step 2 Place the Parmesan, almonds, garlic and chilies into a food processor. Process to combine the ingredients. ### Step 3 Add around two thirds of the cherry tomatoes to the food processor, one and a half handfuls of basil and a little olive oil. Process until the ingredients turn into a sauce. Taste and season with salt and pepper. ### Step 4 Once the pasta is ready, reserve some of the cooking water then drain and return it to the saucepan. Stir in the sauce until the pasta is thoroughly coated. Add a little of the reserved water to loosen the pasta if necessary. ### Step 5 Transfer to warm bowls and top with the remaining cherry tomatoes (halved or quartered) and sprinkle over basil leaves then take to the table. ## :link: Source -
