--- comments: true tags: - sauce - joy-of-cooking --- # :peanuts: Peanut Dipping Sauce ![Peanut Dipping Sauce](../assets/images/peanut-dipping-sauce.jpg){ loading=lazy } | :fork_and_knife_with_plate: Serves | :timer_clock: Total Time | |:----------------------------------:|:-----------------------: | | 1.75 cups | 5 minutes | ## :salt: Ingredients - :oil_drum: 2 tsp vegetable oil - :garlic: 4 cloves garlic - :sweet_potato: 1 tsp ginger - :hot_pepper: 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes - :droplet: 1 cup water - :takeout_box: 2 Tbsp soy sauce - :lemon: 2 Tbsp lime juice - :peanuts: 0.67 cup chunky peanut butter - :maple_leaf: 1 Tbsp light brown sugar - :peanuts: 3 Tbsp unsalted roasted peanuts - :herb: 1 Tbsp mint ## :cooking: Cookware - 1 small saucepan ## :pencil: Instructions ### Step 1 Heat in a small saucepan over medium heat 2 tsps of vegetable oil. ### Step 2 Add and cook, stirring, until golden brown, about 1 minute garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. ### Step 3 Add and cook, stirring, until thickened, about 4 minutes water, soy sauce, lime juice, chunky peanut butter, light brown sugar, and chopped unsalted roasted peanuts. ### Step 4 Remove from the heat and stir in finely chopped mint. ### Step 5 Serve warm or at room temperature.
