--- comments: true tags: - sauce --- # :rice: Tzatziki Sauce ![Tzatziki Sauce](../assets/images/tzatziki-sauce.jpg){ loading=lazy } | :timer_clock: Total Time | |:-----------------------: | | 30 minutes | ## :salt: Ingredients - :cucumber: 0.5 English cucumber - :salt: 0.5 tsp salt - :garlic: 4 cloves garlic - :rice: 1.5 cups full fat Greek yogurt - :olive: 0.25 cup olive oil - :hot_pepper: 0.5 tsp Aleppo chiles - :salt: 0.5 tsp pepper - :herb: 2 Tbsps dill - :lemon: 0.5 lemon juiced - :sake: some white vinegar (optional) ## :cooking: Cookware - 1 cheese grater - 1 wire sieve - 1 mixing bowl ## :pencil: Instructions ### Step 1 Use the coarse side of a cheese grater to shred the peeled English cucumber. Place grated cucumber in a bowl and season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes. (This draws out the excess moisture.) Strain cucumber through a wire sieve, cheese cloth, or paper towel and place in a mixing bowl. ### Step 2 Add garlic, full fat Greek yogurt, olive oil, Aleppo chiles, pepper, dill, lemon juiced and salt to taste and white vinegar (optional) to taste and mix well. ### Step 3 Taste and adjust any extra salt, vinegar, or lemon juice to your liking. ## :link: Source -
