The lentils will be soft and most of the water will be gone. ### Step 3 Fry the diced onion and diced carrot in the olive oil until soft, about 5 minutes. ### Step 4 In a bowl, combine the pepper, salt, soy sauce, rolled oats, and bread crumbs. Add the cooked ingredients to the bowl and toss combine. ### Step 5 While still warm, form the mixture into patties.
